Taryn and David are fun and adventurous, and their personality really comes through in the planning of her Las Vegas destination wedding. The location chosen to exchange their vows was the Las Vegas sign, and during the “recessional” they included colorful neon glow sticks. And the icing on the cake was right before dinner at Pizza Rock with their guests – they zipped through the air in the Fremont hipline, Slotzilla, on their wedding attire. Pure adrenaline!
Here are a few words from Taryn:
Why Vegas?
We wanted to have a celebration that would be remembered. Not just by us but by our guests as well. What better place than Las Vegas? The theme was simply: Fun!
I love history and thought the historical Vegas sign would be a great location at night, surrounded by what Vegas is known for… the lights!
How did you and David meet?
We met in prison! Everybody’s dream of meeting the love of their life! <~~ kidding. We were both training at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Academy in the summer of 2012. David overheard me telling a classmate that when my long day was over, I was going to have a nice plate of BBQ. He walked over and said "BBQ sounds really good. Would you like to go with me this evening?." We have been attached at the hip ever since.
How was the zipline adventure?
The zipline was absolutely amazing! It really made our day a unique one. We are anything but traditional. We are tastefully crazy! It was a process getting my dress in the harness but the ride was so worth it! We would have done it again had it not been so chilly out.
