Lake Tahoe is a breathtaking winter wedding wonderland! The pristine alpine lake surrounded by fresh snow, soaring mountain peaks and a pine forest set the mood for Rachelle & Cody’s Lake Tahoe wedding at Edgewood Tahoe.
Las Vegas was their meeting place, more specifically during high school. They both moved to Reno for college and recently graduated – so this is in many ways the beginning of a new life together. Their next destination is Sacramento.
Following a week of snowfall, the sun shone brightly for Rachelle & Cody’s wedding, bringing warmth and life to the stunning scenery.
The girls got ready at The Landing Tahoe, while Cody and the guys got ready at a rental property nearby. Rachelle’s gown featured lace 7/8 sleeves, and she stayed warm outside wearing her mom’s fur jacket. Let’s not forget the rain boots and warm socks that helped us stroll around the snow for photos.
For the borrowed, Rachelle was wearing Cody’s great grandmother’s emerald necklace. It was a gift from when her husband took office as ONU diplomat, and it has been a part of most family weddings since then.
They said their “I do’s” inside the mountain clubhouse, under the expansive vaulted ceilings and by a picture perfect image of the Sierra Nevada peaks framed by the windows. Cranberry, navy blue and gold was the color palette for the day.
The reception room at Edgewood Tahoe was flooded with light during the day from the floor-to-ceiling windows that graced the space. Their celebration continued with their first dance, speeches, games, and lots of dancing. Check out some images from the day.
