Katrina met Marlon when he was a Junior, and she was a Freshman in high school. It was the first Filipino Cultural Night dance practice, which happened to be at his house. They have now been together for almost a decade.
Marlon proposed at the same movie theater they went on their first date. On that first night, they went to dinner, and then Marlon’s best friend (and now best man) drove them around and to the movies, since Marlon couldn’t drive yet. To this day, their favorite thing to do is just hanging out and laughing together. And you will see they both light up the room with their big hearts and smiles.
When it came time for the celebration, they knew they wanted a Las Vegas wedding. This is one of their favorite spots to visit from their hometown in California.
The day started at Caesars Palace. The girls had custom embroidered long sleeve shirts and drinking glasses with their name in it. Once ready, we headed to the Guardian Angel Cathedral, one of the most iconic churches in town situated right on the Strip. The church features an unusual triangular shape, and it is full of stained glass windows, mostly following the shape of the building. And under this ideal scenario, Marlon and Katrina exchanged vows to seal their commitment before family and friends.
As a surprise to their bridal party, they rented a double-decker bus to tour the Strip after the wedding ceremony. It was a fun and wild ride, with great music and panoramic views of the famous Las Vegas Blvd at sunset.
We then headed to the Las Vegas Country Club for an outdoor reception under bistro lights. The “Love” marquee light was one of the highlights of the night. There was also a custom made beer pong table with their names on it, which was a success. Dancing and laughter took over the night as everyone joined the dance floor. Here are some photos from the day.
